The Grief Hub was born out of my deeply personal journey. In March 2023, I faced the heartbreaking loss of my beloved son, Josh, at just 20 years old after a three year battle with mental illness. Through this unimaginable pain, I came to understand the profound loneliness and isolation that is the grief experience.
I am a former English teacher, Certified Grief Educator, and writer, but more importantly I'm Josh's Mom. I feel a deep responsibility not only to honor my son’s memory but also to embrace the things that brought him joy and now also bring me comfort—connecting with people and offering solace to others who are also suffering.
In the second year of my grief journey, I realized how vital connection and support are in moving forward in my life because I realized that my loss is now woven into the fabric of my very existence. However, I have found, that grief often thrives in isolation, feeding on feelings of separateness. This realization inspired me to create a nurturing space where others walking a similar path can find connection, understanding, and support.
My mission is to empower individuals navigating grief by offering tools, creative outlets, resources, and a compassionate community to help them face each day with hope and renewed strength. I am deeply passionate about connecting Grievers to the vital resources they need. So take a moment to explore, find your people, and connect—you don’t have to walk this path alone.
