Meet Niki DiGaetano
Niki DiGaetano is a death doula, writer, and founder of Numbered Days Death Care, where she provides grief support, legacy work, and end-of-life planning services to clients across the country. Niki is both a volunteer grief supporter and a member of the death doula council for The Alliance for Care at Home.
She was trained as a death doula by the University of Vermont in 2019 and has continued her education and training in both death and grief care. Alongside many other relevant death & grief trainings, Niki became a certified grief guide through the International Doula Life Movement's grief training program in 2022. She completed renowned psychotherapist, Megan Devine's, Grief Care Professional Certificate Program in 2023 - all to support her continuous development as a grief guide where she provides 1:1 grief support to the clients in her care.
Niki's work as a death doula has been featured in a number of publications and podcasts. She especially loves appearing as a guest in "non-griefy" spaces - such as hiking podcasts - where she is able to share the story of her 900 mile Appalachian Trail hike alongside her discovery of death care and how they both gave her a greater appreciation for living. In these outlets, she is thrilled to reach populations that may never otherwise have heard of death doulas.
Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, all of Niki's services are virtual, but she offers in-person services to those local to the Salt Lake City area.
